Durasol Power Source Battery Review: Ensuring Safety and Efficiency

Hey everyone, Caesar here and welcome back to my channel. In this second part of my Durasol Power Source Battery review, I'll be discussing two important points raised in the comments section of my previous video. These points address the lifespan and maintenance requirements of the battery, as well as the potential impact of power output on the connected devices, especially the tankless water heater.

To ensure that the battery lifespan is sufficient and that you get your money's worth, it's crucial to properly maintain the Durasol Power Source. One notable feature of this battery backup is its ability to remain plugged into an outlet, continuously charging and maintaining its charge at 13 volts. Additionally, it incorporates safety measures, such as automatically shutting down when the voltage drops too low. These features are beneficial in extending the lifespan of the battery.

However, there is another concern that needs attention. Some users have expressed worries that using a power backup with a modified sine wave output may harm their devices, specifically the tankless water heater. A modified sine wave produces a square-shaped graph, while a pure sine wave produces a smooth curve similar to the power output from a regular outlet.

To address this concern, I reached out to Noritz's technical support for clarification. I explained that I was using the Duracell Power Source as a backup for my tankless water heater in case of outages. The Noritz representative confirmed that using a power backup with a modified sine wave output is safe as long as the connected unit receives enough power. They mentioned that only if the unit does not receive sufficient power will it shut down and display an error code 71. This code indicates that the tankless water heater requires more power to function optimally, but it does not pose a risk of damage.

If you're planning to use a power backup for your tankless water heater or any other equipment, I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your unit. Explain your intention and ask if a modified sine wave output, such as the Duracell Power Source, is compatible and safe to use. Ensuring the safety of your equipment is crucial to avoid any potential malfunctions or risks.

In conclusion, based on my investigation and the information received from Noritz, it is safe to use the Duracell Power Source as a backup for your tankless water heater. However, I encourage you to conduct your own research and seek guidance from the manufacturer to ensure compatibility with your specific equipment. Thank you for watching, and if you found this video helpful, please leave a comment, give it a thumbs up, and subscribe to my channel.
